Ever fancied writing for the stage? Or having actors tell your story to an audience? This workshop series with Belloo Creative will help you learn how to write for the theatre.
Belloo Creative is an award-winning Brisbane theatre company, with a dedicated playwright, director and dramaturg in the team. In this workshop series, Belloo will guide you through finding a subject, researching, and writing dialogue and action.
Each session will involve practical exercises to get you writing, as well as excerpts from classic and contemporary plays to learn from masters of the craft. You’ll have the support of a professional playwright to guide you as you start on your writing journey.
By the end of the series, you’ll not only have a good understanding of what makes a good play, you’ll also be well on the way to writing the first draft of your own original play.
