Matilda Awards at the Brisbane Powerhouse!

On Monday the 27th of February, the Belloo and Boy, Lost team came together to celebrate the arts industry at the Brisbane Powerhouse for the 2022 Matilda Awards. We are so thrilled and over the moon to announce that Boy, Lost was awarded the ‘2022 Lord Mayor’s Award for Best New Australian Work’!

“The writing is beautifully modulated, sometimes tough, often poetic, jumping time-zones in a whirlwind of storylines and characters until they settle and draw the audience through to the heart-rending climax.  The play takes us on a journey through difficult topics with far-reaching impact and, rather than offering blame, invites us to consider compassion, self-reflection and the possibility of change.” - The Matilda Judges
