Two Simple Ways to Support Belloo

Hi friends,

Making theatre is a great privilege, but it can also be very difficult. Lately, it feels like there's been no shortage of stories about the challenges facing the arts: productions being cancelled, AI threatening creative livelihoods, and ongoing pressures on artists and arts organisations.

Belloo is in a fortunate position: we receive funding, we're guided by an extraordinary Management Committee that generously volunteers its expertise, and we're supported by a community of loyal artists and audiences who believe in what we do.

However, raising enough money for a production takes years, and funding rarely covers everything required to keep a small arts company running.

That's why we've introduced a couple of simple ways for our community to support Belloo.

If you've got a bag of bottles waiting to be recycled or you'd like to buy a $2 Community Lottery ticket, you can help contribute to Belloo's long-term sustainability.

Containers for Change

Belloo is now registered with Containers for Change. Collect your glass and plastic bottles and your cans and you can nominate Belloo as the recipient for your returns.

People First Community Lottery

You can also support Belloo through the 2026 People First Community Lottery.

The lottery gives local charities and not-for-profit community groups around Australia the opportunity to raise funds. It’s helped raise more than $22 million for community groups since its inception in 1984.

Tickets are just $2, with 41 prizes worth more than $300,000 to be won (including new hybrid cars and a Northern Lights cruise).

Your support helps pay for the things you never see: the thousand tiny expenses that quietly make it possible for artists to spend their time creating extraordinary work.

So, when someone donates the refund from a bag of bottles or buys a $2 Community Lottery ticket, it may seem like a small gesture. But every dollar raised makes a real difference.
