'Boy, Lost' Opening This Week!

BOY, LOST rehearsals are underway in the Diane Cilento Studio at Queensland Theatre.

"When Katherine Lyall-Watson first approached me about staging Boy, Lost, I had two reactions. One: how exciting, and two: it would be impossible. But I’d under-estimated Katherine’s and Caro’s genius, their enormous hearts, their facility for transformative stage work. And their determination — through a pandemic, through countless drafts and endless consultation — to create something wholehearted and true. I couldn’t wish for anything better or more." Kristina Olsson, Author of BOY, LOST

BOY, LOST opens on Saturday 29 October for a strictly limited season. Tickets are SELLING FAST so don't wait to secure your seat.

Adapted from Kristina Olsson’s award-winning memoir, BOY, LOST is a dynamic new production by Belloo's Katherine Lyall-Watson and Caroline Dunphy. A true story of a boy snatched from his mother’s arms and their journey back to one another, this is an ultimately uplifting story of survival.

Travelling down the train tracks of the east coast of Australia and spanning fifty years, the play ricochets from post war Brisbane to Cairns and Sydney as it follows one boy’s life long search and a family’s journey from loss to redemption.

Told in Belloo's signature style of fluid storytelling and physicality, BOY, LOST combines dramatic storytelling and nuanced music theatre to create a testament to the tenacity of the human spirit.
