The Nadesalingam family is back in Biloela, but 7,500 people who arrived in Australia between 2012-2013 are still barred from applying for permanent visas. They’ve lived in Australia for more than a decade on bridging visas that need renewing every 3-6 months. They’re separated from their families and living in limbo.

The Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) is the national umbrella body for refugees and people seeking asylum and those who support them. They are a nonprofit organisation which is completely independent of government.

Romero Centre is a place of welcome and sanctuary for people seeking asylum.

Beyond Blue is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that provides information, support services, and resources for people affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide.
